Arran Arctic Podcast #1 – New Music Demos

One of my new year resolutions was to put together an Arran Arctic Podcast. It’ll be an occasional, episodic type of affair, mostly consisting of news from me but also featuring some awesome local Edinburgh bands.

Rather than ramble on you should simply listen below…

 This podcast featured music from…

Comics: Corporate Whore

In celebration of my return to the workplace tomorrow, I’ve doodled another short comic strip.

It’s been over 2 weeks since I’ve been in the office, so it will be a tough transition to get back into the swing of things.

I’m planning to be a lot more enterprising with regards to my music related business in 2012, so hopefully it will keep me sane and I won’t end up like this poor bastard…

‘In My Hands’ in Jock Rock’s Top 25 2011 albums

Multiple posts only days apart? How very unlike me.

However, finding out you’re album has been named by Jock Rock as one of the top 25 albums of the year warrants shouting about, does it not?

‘In My Hands’ has been placed no.6 out of 25!

Why not have a listen to the record, see what the fuss is about, and maybe even download or buy it ;)

iTunes Amazon CD Baby

Not to sound like a complete dick, but this really is a great honour as it’s been an amazing year for Scottish music as you can tell by the host of fantastic artists that make up the rest of the 25 albums.

Jock Rock’s author, Steve McHugh (who also happens to edit Is This Music?from which ‘In My Hands’ got a 4 out of 5 star rating!), has always got his finger right on the pulse of the best Scottish music and the blog is a fantastic place to hear new stuff.

A massive thank you to Steve and Jock Rock, and again, a brazen laugh in the face of how in the hell I’ll top this in 2012!
